160 million orders came into Amazon this week, making it the biggest Cyber week in Amazon’s history.
140 million items were sold by small businesses this week alone.
Amazon spokesperson Kate Scarpa says they are really proud of that number.
“We obsess over what we think our customers want and that’s offering a vast selection. We have hundreds of millions of products to select from worldwide. We really focus on low prices and fast and free shipping so that’s more true than ever during the holidays when we have incredible deals. And getting customers those really amazing products that they want this season. We’re going to continue to do that every day.”
Scarpa says this year’s Cyber Monday was the best they’ve ever had. When asked what the number one selling item was that day?
“It was the Echo Dot. Customers are really loving it. Alexa enabled devices are great. I personally bought one on Cyber Monday. It was the cheapest it’s ever been and it’s the same price today. It’s amazing to ask Alexa to turn on music. It helps when you’re cooking and sets timers. It does a lot of great things.”
Scarpa was a guest on McIntyre in the Morning.
